Day 01

Delhi or Kathgodam / Nanital:

Nanital sightseeings:

Corbett / Kausani:

Kausani / Mussoorie:

After breakfast check out from hotel and proceed to Mussoorie. Check into hotel. Day at leisure. Overnight stay at Mussoorie Hotel.

Mussoorie:

After breakfast proceed to Mussoorie sightseeings. Visit to Gun hill point, Camel back road, lal tibba, Mall road, Jahripani falls and Kempty falls. Later transfer to hotel. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay at Mussoorie Hotel.

Mussoorie / Delhi:

Day 01

Delhi to Mussoorie (269 Kms / 6 ½ Hrs)
Arrival Delhi Railway station / Airport. Upon arrival drive to Mussoorie. Evening arrive Mussoorie and check into the hotel. Rest of the day free at leisure.

Mussoorie:

Mussoorie, Popularly known as the Queen of Hills, this charming hill station, 34 kms from Dehradun is situated at an altitude of 2003 mts in the Garhwal hills. above sea-level. Mussoorie is one the beautiful hill stations in India and the most frequently visited. It provides excellent respite to people who want relief from the hot sultry conditions of the plains, especially since it is close enough to the capital to make just weekend trip. Also, major Hindu pilgrimage sites like Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri, Yamunotri, Haridwar, Rishikesh are not far from this place. In 1820, Captain Young of the British army was influenced by the beauty of this place and made it his residence. The name, Mussoorie is derived from plants of 'Mussoorie' which were found in abundance here. After its discovery, this hill station gradually developed as a centre of education, business, tourism and beauty. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 02

Mussoorie
After breakfast, enjoy local sightseeing of Mussoorie visiting:

Municipal Garden:

A picnic spot having a beautiful garden and an artificial mini lake with boating facilities. It is located at a distance of 4kms by cycle rickshaw, pony or by car and only 2 kms on foot via Waverly Convent Road.

Gun Hill:

Enjoy a Ropeway ride to the second highest peak of Mussoorie. It can also be negotiated by bridles path which forks-off from Mall Road near Kutchery and to reach takes about twenty minutes. The Ropeway distance is only 400 mtrs. And the sheer thrill of the ride is memorable. Gun Hill offers a beautiful panoramic view of the Himalayan ranges namely Bunderpunch, Srikantha, Pithwara and Gangotri group etc. and a bird's eye view of Mussoorie town and Doon Valley. During pre-independence days a gun mounted on this top used to be fired heralding mid-day to enable people to adjust their watches and hence this name.

Mussoorie Lake:

A newly developed picnic spot, situated on Mussoorie- Dehradun road and is about 6 kms from Mussoorie. It is a delightful spot. Pedal boats are availble. It commands an enchanting view of Doon Valley and nearby villages.

The Mall:

The Mall is the heart of Mussoorie. A walk through the mall throws glimpses of the colonial period with the benches and lampposts lined up and is a beautiful experience. Being in the center of the city, one has to pass the Mall enroute to any place in the city. The 1980s style video game parlors, skating rinks, the Methodist Church are all attractions in this area. The skating rinks are popular among children and adult alike, and are charged at Rs 80 per hour. Fans of Ruskin Bond seeking his autograph should not miss the opportunity to visit the Cambridge Bookstore, where he is often seen. Rest of the day free for own activities. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 03

Mussoorie to Rishikesh - Enroute visit Haridwar (99 Kms / 2 ½ Hrs) Morning after breakfast drive to Rishikesh. Upon arrival, Check in at the hotel.

Rishikesh:

Rishikesh is a famous Hindu religious destinations, popular amongst devotees, yoga persons and adventurers as well. Located on the banks of the sacred Ganga River, Rishikesh attracts thousands of pilgrims every day from India as well as abroad. Rishikesh is the ideal destination for adventurer’s activities like rafting, trekking, rock climbing, kayaking, mountaineering etc. Rishikesh is situated 25 kms ahead of Haridwar at an elevation of 356mts above sea level. Rishikesh consists of three distinct areas known as Rishikesh, Swargashram and Muni-ki-Reti. Later proceed for city tour of Rishikesh visiting:

Triveni Ghat:

The Bharat Mandir is the oldest temple of Rishikesh, situated near the Jhanda Chowk. Rishi Rabhya did his penance at this holy spot and the place is devoted to Lord Vishnu. A spectacular sacred Shree Yanthra is placed at the inner canopy of the temple. Bharat Mandir celebrates colourful spring festival called 'Basant Panchami'.

Rishikund:

Rishikund literally suggests the sage's pond. It is believed that the waters of the Yamuna drenched this pond on the request of Kubz saint. Shani mandir is also situated at Rishikund.

Bharat Mandir:

Agra Fort is located on the right bank of the river Yamuna in the city of Agra in Uttar Pradesh. It is one of the most important and robustly built stronghold of the Mughals, embellished with number of richly decorated buildings encompassing the imposing Mughal style of art and architecture. It was constructed by the third Mughal emperor Akbar on the remains of an ancient site known as Badalgarh. Sikandar Lodi (1487-1517) was the first Sultan of Delhi to shift his capital from Delhi to Agra. After Sikandar Lodi who died in 1517, his son Ibrahim Lodi held the fort for 9 years until he was defeated and killed in the battle of Panipat in 1526. DAY 04

Rishikesh
After breakfast, proceed for excursion to Haridwar.

Haridwar:

Haridwar meaning ‘Gateway to God’ is one of the seven holiest places of the Hindus, located on the banks of River Ganges. It is the place where river Ganga descends to the plains. Haridwar is also spelled as Hardwar or Hari- Dwar. Haridwar is often mentioned in ancient scriptures and even referred during the British times. With Ujjain, Nasik and Allahabad, Haridwar forms the four important pilgrimage centres of India where Kumbh Mela is celebrated here after every 3 years rotated over these 4 destinations. Maha Kumbh Mela will be held in Haridwar in 2022. It is referred as the Mayapuri, Gangadwar, Mokhsadwar in ancient writings. Haridwar is also one of the four places where drops of Amrit or nectar fell from the pitcher which was being carried by Garuda, the heavenly bird and the spot is known as Brahma Kund or Har-ki-Pauri. Har ki Pauri:

It is also known as Brahmakund and it is believed to be the place where divine nectar fell from the pitcher. It is the site for the famous Kumbh Mela which is celebrated in 12 years. Large number of devotees comes especially to Haridwar to take a holy dip in the Ganga River. At twilight, when evening aarti is performed the reflection of the golden diyas that keep floating on the river offers an enchanting view of the ghat to the visitors. This sacred Ghat was built by King Vikramaditya in memory of his brother Bhatrihari, who is said to have meditated on the banks of Ganga in Haridwar.

Chandi Devi temple:

Situated on the top of the Neel Parvat, Chandi Temple was built in 1929 by Suchat Singh, the King of Kashmir. The temple can be reached after a 3km trek from Chandi Ghat. The main statue of Chandi Devi Temple is said to be established by the Adi Shankaracharya in 8th century. Cable car has also been introduced upto Chandi Devi Temple.

DAY 05

Rishikesh to Corbett (86 Kms / 2 Hrs)
Morning after breakfast drive to Corbett National Park. Evening arrive Corbett and check into the hotel.

Corbett:

Corbett Park situated in the foothills of the Himalayas, in the newly created state of Uttarakhand is haven for wildlife lovers in India. The present area of the Corbett park is 1318.54 sq. km. including 520 sq. km. of core area of and 797.72 sq. km. of buffer area. The core area of the Corbett tiger reserve forms the Corbett Park while the buffer contains reserve forests (496.54 sq.km.) as well as the Sonanadi Wildlife Sanctuary (301.18 sq.km.) Flat valleys are interspersed with hilly ridges and the Park's rolling grasslands provide an excellent view of its rich eco system. Corbett Park is one of India's most beautiful wildlife areas has a tiger population of around 160, which makes this park as the last and the most important bastion of this endangered species in India. Corbett Park’s 1318.54 square kilometers of virgin forest and jungle are home to numerous other species of fauna. The rich biodiversity of the park is a perfect place for bird enthusiasts; the area is considered one of the best bird-watching areas in India, with some 600 species having been sighted in the park.
The different habitat types of Corbett Park i.e. mountains, Sal forests, chaurs (grasslands), khair-sissoo forests, and rivers have their distinct assemblage of plants. More than 600 species of birds, trees, shrubs, herbs, bamboos, grasses, climbers and ferns have been identified in the Corbett Park. The most visible trees found in Corbett Park are Sal, Sissoo and Khair. Many other species that contribute to the diversity are found scattered throughout the Corbett park. Chir Pine is the only conifer of the Park and is found on ridge-tops. The upper reaches near Kanda ridge have Oak growing, which is essentially a Himalayan species. Other major tree species seen in and around Corbett park are Bel, Kusum, Mahua, Bakli. Rest of the day free at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

Corbett

DAY 07

Corbett to Nainital (52 Kms / 1 ½ Hrs)
Morning after breakfast drive to Nainital. Arrive Nainital and check-into the Hotel.

Nainital:

Nainital is a glittering jewel in the Himalyan necklace, blessed with scenic natural spledour and varied natural resources . Dotted with lakes , Nainital has earned the epithet of ' Lake District ' of India . The most prominent of the lakes is Naini lake ringed by hills . Nainital has a varied topography . Some of the important places in the district are Nainital , Haldwani , Kaladhungi , Ramnagar , Bhowali , Ramgarh , Mukteshwar , Bhimtal , Sattal and Naukuchiatal . Nainital’s unending expense of scenic beauty is nothing short of a romance with awe-inspiring and pristine Mother nature. Nainital is headquarter of Nainital District. It is also divisional Headquarter of Kumaon Division of Uttarakhand State. Afternoon enjoy local sightseeing.

Snow View Point by Cable Ride:

It is the most easily accessible hill top, height 2270 mts. and at a distance of 2.5 Km from the town. The spot is accessible through ropeway . This peak is also connected by motor able road. Snow view as the name suggests offers an indescribably beautiful and breath taking picture of the glittering snows of Himalyas.It has a temple . Tea,snacks,Photographers are available at this place.

DAY 08

Nainital
After breakfast, enjoy a day excursion to Bhimtal.

Bhimtal:

Bhimtal is 22 Kms. from Nainital and 11 Kms. from Bhowali at an altitude of 1370 mts. The pride of Bhimtal is a beautiful lake which offers magnificent vistas for tourists. The lake is larger than Naini lake. Tourist enjoys here boating in lake. There is an island amid lake a restaurant is located atop it. Tourist visit here by boats. The distance of island from lake shore is 91 mts.There is a 17th century Bhimeshwar temple complex along the 40 feet high dam . The local bus stand and taxi stand is situated near it. One road from Bhimtal leaves for Naukuchiatal while the another one goes to Kathgodam 21 Kms from here.Connectivity is available from Indian Rail upto Kathgodam and from kathgodam by road that is 21 Kms.Nearest Airport is PantNagar Airport distance of 35 Kms. Return to the hotel later in the noon. Rest of the day free at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 09

Nainital

Nainital:

Khurpatal: Close to the bustling and popular hill station Nainital in Kumaon Himalaya, Khurpatal seems a secret haven hidden in the hills, that is why it is still echoing with the sounds of nature and not the machine age man and his boisterousness. If you love serenity, then Khurpatal is just the place for you. A few, simple and helpful village folk are seen engaged in vegetable farming. Rejuvenating the spirits, quiet and greener more so after the rains Khurpatal is a welcome change one can long for. The route to Khurpatal is lined with tall trees. Many of them growing by the sheer drop by the road seem to be standing there by luck!

Naukuchiyatal:

Naukuchiyatal,1218 MT) At a distance of just 24 km from Nainital and about 4 kms from BhimTal - lies the mystique lake with 9 corners or or the ' Nine - Cornered - Lake '. Surrounded by dense forested hills on all sides it provides solace from the maddening rush of the plains. Naukuchiatal is nourished by an underwater spring, which keeps its water levels high. Naukuchiatal Lake is the deepest lake in the Lake District of India (Nainital) and lost in acres of oak forest in the lesser Himalayas.

Sattal:

Literally meaning seven lakes all the group of small lakes nested together, about 23 kms from Nainital at an altitude of (1370 MT) still untouched by modernisation - one can see the natures beauty at its best. Seven Lakes of Sattal - Panna Tal or Garud Tal, Nal-Damyanti Tal, Purna Tal, Sita Tal , Ram Tal Laxman Tal, Sukha Tal or Khurdariya Tal.

Nainital to Delhi Departure (282 Kms / 7 Hrs)
Breakfast at the hotel & check out. Depart by road for Delhi Aiport / Railway Station for onward journey.
